Shaders On Minecraft Windows 10

It is easy to install Shaders 1.16.4 where you only need to go to Windows%appdata%.minecraft and then go to the Shaderpacks folder. After that, you can move the downloaded Shader pack in ZIP format to this folder. Well, your new shader pack is finally installed and you can see the changes in the game. Without this mod, you will not be able to use shaders in Minecraft. Go to the '.minecraft' folder and then to the 'ShaderPacks' folder. Move your downloaded Shader into this folder. Start the game and navigate to 'Video Settings' in the options, then click on 'Shaders'.

The best shaders for Minecraft Java edition of 2020! Please note that I left every shader to its default settings, so even though there are settings ingame for changing the shader quality and performance, this comparison is based on the default values.

1. SEUS Renewed

Download from: Official SEUS site

Performance requirement: High

Shaders

Latest version of the legendary SEUS shader. Previously I used both SEUS v10 and v11 and loved them both.

2. Sildur's Vibrant Shaders (Extreme)

Download from: Official Sildur's site

Performance requirement: Medium

Very colorful and 'happy' feeling shader. Even though this is the extreme version of the shader, the performance requirement is quite medium – even on the lower end of this list.

3. Sildur's Vibrant Shaders (Lite)

Download from: Official Sildur's site

Performance requirement: Medium-Low?

The previous one was the extreme version, this is the lite version. I see very little change in frame rate between the two versions. Maybe they truly are that similar in FPS, or maybe Minecraft just utilizes the extra frames to something else. Just give it a try if the higher end versions lag!

4. Chocapic13 V8 (Ultra)

Download from: Curse Forge

Performance requirement: Medium-High

I have never used Chocapic13's shaders to my knowledge, but I think it is pretty popular, so I included it in this list. Has pretty 'realistic' feeling, and decent frame rates.

5. Continuum 2

Download from: Official Continuum site

Performance requirement: Extreme

Very realistic shader with a high performance impact. Not sure how much it can be customized for lower performance impact – as I said in the beginning, these performance values are based on the default shader settings.

6. Continuum v1.3

Download from: Official Continuum site

Performance requirement: Extreme

Honestly, I kinda prefer the older Continuum version to the new Continuum 2. I like the colors, and I used to use it in my cinematic back couple years ago. Very high performance hit, but if your computer can handle it, it can give very nice screenshots for an example.

7. KUDA Shaders v6.1

Download from: KUDA's developer site

Shaders minecraft windows 10 1.12.0

Performance requirement: Medium

Another legendary shader, stands next to SEUS in my opinion. There's a newer shader from the same creator as KUDA called 'projectLuma', but it did not work for me for some reason – that's why I wanted to go with the classic KUDA instead.

8. Robobo1221's Shader v7.1 (Extreme)

Download from: Minecraft Forum

Performance requirement: Extreme

Extreme performance requirements, very beautiful. Has very nice weather effects, which makes it really stand out in this comparison. Check out the video above!

Performance requirement: Medium

Realistic shaders minecraft windows 10 edition

More performance friendly version. Has some features missing from the extreme version, but way higher frame rates. Choose the version that better suits your desktop computer or laptop!

10. Sushi Shaders v2

Download from: Minecraft Forum

Performance requirement: Medium

Sushi Shaders has pretty unique colors compared to the rest, so I decided to include it. I also like the water, but the color screme is a bit too cold/blue for my liking.

Minecraft

Do you want to install Minecraft Windows 10 Shaders? If yes, then you are ta the right place. Minecraft doesn’t have elegant and high-end graphics. As it is a game made of blocks however, users easily make it seems much better than it does out of the box having texture packs. Texture packs are the best but if you need to add a hyper-real look to Minecraft. Then shaders are the way to go. Come let’s take a look at how to install Shaders on Minecraft UWP for Windows 10.

Shaders for Minecraft UWP

There aren’t many Shaders available for Minecraft UWP. But those shades that are built for the Java model can’t work with the UWP model of the game. However, it means your choices are going to be reduced. Also, you can still find some good looking shaders for the game. Just remember it is built for the UWP version or Windows 10 of the app. For the post, we’re going with the Chocapic Shaders. Just move ahead and view for any other shader and install it. It will install as a .mcpack file.

Install Shaders for Minecraft UWP

Move to the folder that you installed the Shader to. By default, it will be analyzed as a file that you can open with Minecraft. Double-tap it and it will open Minecraft. You will then view a ‘Import Started’ message.

It takes a few seconds so you must view another text saying you the import was successful.

Tap the Settings button on the game’s welcome screen and then choose ‘Global Resources’ from the left column. On the right, you will view the Shader that you included. Choose it, and tap the plus button to include it. Move to the main screen.

However, the Shader takes a few seconds to load but when it does, the world view behind the buttons will completely modify to reflect the Shaders that you included. Move ahead and load up a world to play in.

Uninstall Shaders

If you want to delete a shader from Minecraft. Then simply unload it so that the default texture loads or you can uninstall it fully. If you want to unload a shader, head over to Minecraft, tap the Settings button. Then from the left column, choose Global Resources. In the right pane, choose the Shader and tap the minus button under it. This will unload it.

If you want to uninstall it, simply click the Win+R keyboard shortcut to reopen the Run box. Input the following, and click the Enter key.

When the folder opens, move to the following location and remove the shader from the ‘resource_packs’ folder.

Drawback

Unfortunately, Shaders slow down Minecraft or they need a more capable system for the game to run perfectly or smoothly. You probably view the UWP model to slow down after installing a shader.

However, Minecraft UWP shader is identical to a texture pack with some distinction. These distinctions are more pronounced on the Java model but not too much with the UWP version. You will have to organize your own expectations here.
